Fomtec MB-20 is a blend of highly active synthetic fatty alcohol sulfates, solvents, and stabilizers. When Fomtec MB-20 is mixed with water and converted into heavy, medium, or light foam using foam generation equipment, it can combat fires by surrounding the area, limiting oxygen supply, cooling the liquid surface, and suppressing flammable gases evaporating from hot surfaces. When used as light foam to completely fill an interior space, the foam creates an inert atmosphere. Fomtec MB-20 foam should be used as a 2−6% concentrate mixed with fresh water or seawater, depending on the foam generation equipment used for medium or light foam.
